Riding for a Cause Close to My Heart – Dolphins Cancer Challenge 2026

At Fruit Purees Miami, we believe in the power of community—inside and outside of the brewing world. This year, one of our own, Humberto Areas, is taking that spirit of community to a deeply personal level.

Humberto is participating in the upcoming Dolphins Cancer Challenge, a fundraising event that supports groundbreaking cancer research at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. Funds raised go directly to Sylvester to help advance life-saving research and improve patient care for those battling cancer.

This ride is personal for Humberto. He’s riding in honor of his grandmother, Maria Cristina, who passed away from stomach cancer, and his sister, Alina, a courageous colon cancer survivor who is now in full remission.

“I’m not one to usually ask for support like this, but this cause means a great deal to me and my family,” Humberto shared. “I’ve been blessed to meet many incredible people through business—friends, partners, and colleagues—and I’m reaching out to invite you to join me in supporting this important cause.”
